The next Apex Legends event, Voidwalker, starts this week

Apex Legends'The next event, Voidwalker, will start on Tuesday and will last two weeks. The event features a new limited time mode, another takeover of the city and free and premium booty.

The limited-time mode is called armed and dangerous, which limits long-range and close-range weapons – namely sniper rifles and shotguns. In this mode, looting is "much more difficult to find".

A double XP weekend will take place from Friday, September 6 to the following Monday at 10 am Eastern Daylight Saving Time (PDT) / 1 pm. HAE both days. This gives a double XP for the wins and the 5 best in the progress of the account and in the progression of the passes.

The takeover of the city is at Kings Canyon, where the remains of a Project: Wraith facility have been discovered. Inside the base is a "functional portal prototype," which can be used to position itself further, or to exit completely and restart skydiving. Respawn Entertainment stated that "the details of the hidden knowledge" were throughout this new location.

Respawn said that six other legendary items will also be added to the central loot pool, which means that they can be acquired through crafting or through pack openings. They will also be available for direct purchase.
