There are only a few weeks left before the next big Apple product launch, but more and more clues about the new range of gadgets are starting to appear – including the Apple Watch.
The next Apple Watch will be available in two new finishes, according to the images found in the latest beta version of watchOS, spotted by iHelpBR. The blog has published pictures of the watchOS start screen, which indicate that the next Apple Watch will be available in titanium and ceramic cases.
Apple used a ceramic finish in the past, the last time being the Apple Watch Series 3, but it would be the first time the company made it in titanium. Both options are probably more expensive Apple Watch Edition models, which use more premium materials than the regular-priced Aluminum Watch Apple.
In itself, this would constitute a significant change from the 4 Series of 2018, which removed the Apple Watch edition. The screenshots also indicate that the new device will also be available in a larger size of 44mm, unlike the 2018 models.
Apple has experimented with different materials for the Apple Watch in the past. Do you remember the 18K gold model at $ 10,000? And while the company recently marketed its smartwatch as a more health-conscious device than a fashion accessory, it still wants to appeal to people who appreciate high-end timepieces. By offering higher priced alternatives with more premium materials, the company can do it.
What we do not know is what will become the stainless steel Apple Watch. It is possible that the titanium finish can replace it, or perhaps it will remain a compromise between the Apple Watch base aluminum and the more expensive Apple Watch Edition models.
We will know for sure in September. Apple should hold its next event on September 10th.
