It looks like these fans may just be getting their wish, as the images of Sora in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate recently leaked on 4Chan. The images show Sora in the character selection screen and fighting Incineroar in the training arena. The leak also indicates that Nintendo will officially announce Sora on December 10 at the Game Awards.
Although the pictures look real, it is not that difficult to simulate a new Smash character. Chances are, the footage is just an edited version of a character already in the game, like Shulk. That would make sense, given that they are fighting in the practice arena, rather than on Sora’s own stage. Still, reports have shown that Nintendo had previously attempted to add Sora to the game but was shot down by Disney Japan. Considering it took Nintendo five years of negotiations to secure Steve, his previous interest in Sora is very important. There is a lot of smoke coming from this leak, and where there is smoke, there may be a fire.
Rumors about the next Smash Bros. Ultimate character – Rean Schwarzer / Adol Christin
A once neglected Smash the leak on 4chan from June 2020 is starting to receive a second review, as several of its predictions were found to be correct.
