The night mode of Apex Legends might look great

An experimental fan of Apex Legends beat Respawn Entertainment in night mode, showing his idea of what the game map might look like in a darker environment.

Will Apex Legends have a night mode?

On March 8, a dataminer had apparently discovered game files suggesting that a "night mode" would make its way into Apex Legends – in the form of a new card or limited-time mode.

However, despite calls from fans to get things moving and add dynamism to the game, this has not happened yet and the expectation of becoming an Apex champion under the stars continues. Yet a fan may have given players the best look at what they could possibly expect if Respawn Entertainment followed through a dark Kings Canyon.

Bloodhound could be one of the most difficult legends to spot in the dark.

What does Apex Legends look like in the dark?

In an article in the Apex Legends subdirectory, the user of the FPS presented his video of what the map would look like if it went dark.

The Redditor managed to get that unique look by tweaking its parameters, turning Kings Canyon into a picturesque black with a golden-hued landscape that would breathe new life into the title of the Royal Battle.

The refueling has also undergone a complete overhaul, although it probably would not work on a larger scale in a frenetic fight. DeaFPS also used the skin of Bloodhound's Plague Doctor as an example of what the characters might look like at night, with the legend almost blending into the background because of the settings changed to darken the map.

Of course, if the developers decided to publish their planned night setting, they would probably make sure that the players remain fairly visible despite the darker appearance of the map – instead of the weird shadows that can be achieved with some modifications of the settings.

It remains to be seen if Respawn will actually implement the previously disclosed look, as they gave no word or clue as to its possible inclusion.
