The Nintendo Switch exclusives that we plan to see at E3 2019

[ad_1]

Call me crazy, but I believe that rumors say that they will show the next Smash DLC character and that the sun is shining

E3 is on our doorstep and a lot has changed since 2018, but one thing remains unchanged: the unquenchable thirst for the Internet for Nintendo Directs. I enjoy this season of speculation and anticipation, so much so that last year, I wrote an article on the exclusives of Switch that we are most likely to see at the show. In previous E3 Live and Treehouse Live streams, Super Smash Bros Ultimate and The craft world of Yoshi have been shown in more depth. The next Emblem of fire was revealed as Fire Emblem Three Housesand we continued to learn more about it before it was released in July.

The other games I was waiting to see were absent at the time, but the main line Pokémon entries teased two years ago were finally revealed as Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. If Nintendo wants to sell them something like Sun and Moonwe will see a small but steady stream of information throughout the rest of 2019, probably starting with this E3. And Bayonetta 3… Well, we heard a very small and vague update of Platinum, so we know it will happen sooner or later.

Even with these games on the horizon, we have seen many other Switch games revealed, many of which are still poorly known. Heck, I would have included Super Mario Maker 2 here too, if not for his exclusive last-minute Direct! Like last year, I hope that all these games will not be presented during the presentation of Nintendo, nor do I think that they will satisfy all the planned outings for 2019. But the news is to what does E3 serve, right? So let's go through the new list …

City (provisional title)

Game Freak's noPokémon the games tend to be undeveloped before the release, but that's all the more reason why I hope to see more in this game in the near future. Originally revealed at the Nintendo Direct in September 2018, this turn-based RPG has a combat system with several unusual mechanisms, but it is unclear how these ideas go hand in hand.

We also do not know if the mystery surrounding the titular city is supposed to be an intriguing plot element in itself or if this story is simply a game vehicle like most Game Freak games. Personally, I usually want role plays to be great games first and exciting stories. I do not expect this combat system to be more complex than, for example, Pokémon, but all my unanswered questions about his interface are for me an ocean of unexplored possibilities. I hope this E3 will pave the way for this ocean, even if it is a much simpler system than I thought at first.

Luigi's Mansion 3 (provisional title)

As part of this same direct, Luigi's Mansion 3 was confirmed last September. I dig the new "mansion", as the hotel invokes haunted Scooby Doo vibes that match Luigi's MansionThe parody style of horror. I'm also curious about how Luigi's new plunger could significantly change the game, as the few sequences we've seen do not show how it could be more effective than capturing ghosts immediately.

It's easy to imagine how this continuation of a simple but adored spin-off will be played on the surface. But I still have a lot of questions, mainly because Black moon I'm still satisfied under crushed. I want to return to the style of the original game, heavy exploration and resolution of secrets, rather than the episodic progression of Black moonand it seems more likely that we are leaning towards the first … but you know what they say about counting your chickens before they hatch. They become ghost chickens.

geezthis metaphor became dark quickly.

Crossing of animals (many of these games have a title, including this one)

It's about the same situation as Super Smash Bros last year, excluding the fact that the announcement of this Direct did not mention any particular game. But with 2019 ending in a year and a half, the fact that we still do not know this game, and the Crossing of animals Insatiable hunger for the base for more mortgage payments, it sounds like a gimme. Following!

Astral chain

We have not seen any new footage of Platinum's new intellectual property since February 2019, but Direct has given us a good idea of what to expect. Astral chain. It's more of a spectacle fighting action than Platinum, but this time you have a booth. You can choose between a male or female protagonist. There is a kind of government conspiracy that threatens to condemn the world, as in real life. The stand becomes a police dog that gives you piggyback rides at your command. You can pick up the cans located 3 meters away from the trash and then throw them in these bins.

It's weird that we know more about Astral chain than Bayonetta 3 after all this time but Astral chain left a good first impression! The first trailer was pretty full of meat, I think it's the last game on this list that needs it, but this trailer has also lost the release date of August 30th. It would be odd to ignore it at the biggest press event two months ago. Maybe it's just going to delegate it to a Nintendo Treehouse Live slot, but that would be a great way to show off his technical fight in depth.

The legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening remake

To be honest, there are probably not many new things to learn about Link's Awakening on the switch. According to all the current indications, this is a faithful remake of the classic Game Boy with a new artistic style that looks like clay, but above all the same gameplay. Despite all, previous versions of Nintendo Zelda reworked the polished asperities and simplified disadvantages before. There is probably something new to show about this one, especially given the huge technological leap from the original sprite remake to the 3D modeled remake. While this may be an important addition to this year's E3, I would love to see more of these new models in motion.

Shin Megami Tensei V

Shin Megami Tensei V it's the intruder of this pack because we still do not know when it's supposed to come out and it's been revealed in 2017, but … that's the problem with this one. We have not seen anything since 2017, which has given us two rather vague trailers that confirm little more than the basic post-apocalyptic principle of the franchise and its demonic enemies. The development really started only around February 2018, so I understand to keep things secret for the past year, but 2019 is almost halfway there. I would be cool to wait longer if he needs more time, but to our knowledge, the weather seems conducive to a big wave of information on the new game mechanics and the details of the story.

Like last year, the switch has a waiting list of long-awaited suites (as well as new IP addresses) on which we will have to learn something soon, even if it is delayed. I thought Metroid Prime 4 last year it was one of those lucky games, but it turned out that the project had suffered so much that we never saw another look until Retro Studio took over at the beginning of this year. First 4 went back to the drawing board so recently that I do not even think she will come back with a tiny teaser. But the Switch already has so many great games that I would prefer that these new games enjoy the time necessary to achieve the same level of quality. It's always better than … the alternative …

Nintendo will have a lot of attention on this E3 between its impressive list of upcoming games and one of its biggest competitors away from conferences. I'm joking about the fact that the Internet is never satisfied with Directs, but personally, I feel that any Direct that seriously interests me in a game is worth wasting time. And with a wide range of prestigious and specialized games in Switch's pipeline, not to mention the new surprises, I'm expecting this year's E3 to offer something for everyone, even if the half of these games are missing. Again.

What I hope to see most often City and Astral chain, mainly because I am always curious to know more about new IP addresses. So what Hollow knight: Chant-soie squirms over them both because of my unscrupulous favoritism towards our arthropod lords. Silk songTechnically cheats because it's not an exclusive Switch, but I expected it to have a place in the inevitable blockage of Direct's Nindies as Hollow knight did the previous year. What games do you hope to find out more about this live E3?
