The results of the 2019-20 NBA Rookie Survey survey were released Monday. Rookies, like normal humans, think Zion Williamson or Ja Morant will win the Rookie of the Year award. LeBron is the collective favorite of beginners. They are more concerned about the speed of play at the NBA level, and most think they need to work as much as possible.
And together, they think Cam Reddish will have a better career than Zion Williamson.
In the recurring question "which rookie will have the best career?", Reddish led the way with votes from eight of the 42 recruits who voted on this issue. Zion is tied for fourth with two votes, behind Reddish, Morant (seven votes), De'Andre Hunter (five votes) and tied with R.J. Barrett, Jaxson Hayes and Coby White. Twelve other players had votes. It seems that two recruits did not vote on this issue or vote for non-eligible players, or maybe I'm bad at math.
On the one hand, as NBA.com's John Schuhmann notes in his ever-informative article, a Duke player always wins or ties for the win in this category in this survey. Reddish's victory is the sixth consecutive year of Blue Devil. On the other hand, ZION also went to DUKE. Who watched these two players and Barrett play together last season and came to the conclusion that Reddish would have a better professional career than Zion?

Why did not the fox stay?
In a shocking manner, De'Aaron Fox left the American team basketball on Saturday morning before heading to Australia for the next stage of his preparation for the FIBA World Cup (which will start in 10 days ). Fox had been promoted to the top-level team at the start of the calendar this summer and had seemed to be a lock to ensure that the final lineup is heading to China. Now he will stay in the United States to "focus on the coming season". He is the second young King of Sacramento to give up apparently prematurely, joining Marvin Bagley III, who gave up almost immediately after being promoted to the senior position.
Fox did not play much in the Americans' televised match against Spain on Friday, but some reports suggest the program would bring everyone else (14 players) to Australia and make the final cuts this week. And then, Fox is removed. The reason is the question. His stated reason: focus on the coming season.
Is it true? Or did he or his agent want to avoid a long trip to Australia (and vice versa) if he seemed unable to be part of the final list? Did Gregg Popovich or Jerry Colangelo level the players on the bubble and leave them the choice (while avoiding the embarrassment of a break)? Or is all this done at the individual level?
