The original stars of Jurassic Park must meet for the next installment of the dinosaur movie franchise.
Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum will resume their roles in the next Jurassic World 3.
The actors directed the casting of the hit of 1993, directed by Steven Spielberg, and appeared separately in later episodes.
Dern confirmed that she was "so excited" to join her "friends" at a Jurassic World screening in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
She then added, "I loved joining my friend, Colin [Trevorrow, director], to announce the return of the original distribution of Jurassic Park in the Jurassic world. "
The trio will appear alongside Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, the stars of Jurassic World in 2015 and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in 2018.
This latest version sees Goldblum resume his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm, having already done so in The Lost World: Jurassic Park, in 1997.
Neill and Dern have taken over their roles as Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler in the 2001 film Jurassic Park III.
In recent years, Neill has been interpreted as Chester Campbell in Peaky Blinders, while Goldblum has released an album of jazz tracks in 2018.
Old and new
The original Jurassic Park movie was adapted from Michael Crichton's novel.
He became one of the most profitable films of all time and won three Oscars.
Reese Witherspoon, who played alongside Dern in 2014 in the movie Wild and the television series Big Little Lies, shared his excitement about the news.
She wrote on Twitter: "I love all Jurassic World movies, but now, CE?!?"
The next addition to the series, scheduled for 2021, will be the sixth film in total on the Jurassic.
