The Orioles claimed left-handed Josh Osich the Giants' renunciations, by a club announcement. To open a location, they have designated a field player Hanser Alberto for assignment.
Osich gives the O another left-handed rescue option. The 30-year-old will try to show that he can tap his positive potential. Osich has a big fast ball and attracts a lot of players on the ground, but he struggled to control and achieved an ERA of 5.01 in 120 1/3 MLB.
As for Alberto, 26, he will return with the Os as a non-aligned player or re-enter the DFA process. He has achieved strong offensive numbers at the Triple-A level but has not yet made it to majors on limited occasions.
