Despite information suggesting that the console version of Overkill's The Walking Dead had been canceled, one of the game's publishers was registered to announce that it had simply been postponed.

Confirmed by the 505 Games publisher the Twitter"We just wanted to clarify the position of The Walking Dead on Overkill on the console and confirm that the game has not been canceled, but that development is underway and we will share more news as soon as possible."

The rumor that Overkill's The Walking Dead was canceled began when users who pre-ordered the game on the PlayStation Store would have started receiving an automated message informing customers of the cancellation. Images of this message are available on Reddit.

In 2015, it was announced that Overkill's The Walking Dead was under development for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. During the E3 2018, it was announced that the game would be released in November, although this is ultimately only the PC version of the game. The console port has been postponed until February 2019, although it was not until the game was released. it seems to have been delayed further.
