HILLSBOROUGH, California (KGO) – Some people love it, others hate it – but one thing is for sure, everyone has an opinion about the Flintstone house.

The house sits on Berryessa Way in Hillsborough and can be easily seen if you drive the 280. Now the Hillsborough town is suing the owner.

The city does not like the idea that the house is a monument or the huge dinosaur statues on the courtyard. The owner of the property is the media mogul Florence Fang.

The problems began in 2017 when a city inspector noticed that several statues surrounded the orange and purple house.

The statues can be seen from other properties, which makes them prone to a design review. This allows neighbors and other affected people to consider landscapes that affect their views and properties.

According to Hillsborough officials, they asked Ms. Fang several times to remove the statues. But they are still there, so the city pursues it.

The house was purchased for $ 2.8 million in 2017 and, according to Hillsborough officials, the owner uses it for parties.

In an email, Ms. Fang's office said that she was talking to her lawyers and that she would fight hard to keep her status. She has 30 days to respond to this lawsuit.
