The Packers’ Davante Adams Watched Lamar Jackson Highlights Ahead Of Week 2

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is known for a lot of things, including his ability to make defenders look silly in open space. It’s no surprise that some players in the league take note of his spectacular moves, even though they don’t play in the same position.

At Monday night football, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams caught a pass in which he missed three Detroit Lions defensemen in the open field with a quick swing. On the play, he caused cornerback Amani Oruwariye to “break his ankles”.

Asked about the game, Adams told media he tried to figure out some things about Jackson’s ability to mess up defenders, so much so that he watched Jackson’s highlights ahead of Monday night’s game.

“I watched probably 25 minutes of Lamar Jackson’s highlights before the game. It’s not a joke either. I am very serious. I really did at home, I had a little time. I was watching the game and I was like “if he can do that, I should be able to do half of what he does there to make people miss it.” So I thought about that a bit and used it as motivation.

The Packers will travel to Baltimore in December to take on the Ravens. Adams should see in person how Jackson’s feet are just one of the many things that make Jackson such a polarizing talent on the football field.
