The Philadelphia Eagles' depth card revealed before the Redskins game of Week 1

[ad_1]

The Philadelphia Eagles recently released their first depth chart of the 2019 regular season before their first week match against the Washington Redskins.

Now, it should be noted that the depth chart is prepared by the Eagles public relations staff and NOT by the coaching staff of the team. It's always worth taking a look at.

  • Interesting to see Nate Sudfeld still in front of Josh McCown. I think it's pretty safe to say that McCown will be No. 2 quarterback, even when Sudfeld come back from injury.
  • Miles Sanders may well have more playing time than Jordan Howard this season, but Howard being first on the board of depths, he shows that the veteran is not just chopped off the liver. Howard will play a role in this offense as one of the two main ball carriers.
  • Although we are talking about Sanders, it should be noted that he is considered the best turner. Punt returns are not very important in the NFL, but Sanders will have some opportunities to make a good impression on this unit.
  • The Eagles do not have a real backup slot receiver. Greg Ward could be called by the training team if anything happens to Agholor.
  • We'll see if the Eagles add a tight third end. For the moment, Doug Pederson has said that Dillard can see playing time as a close end.
  • Offensive offensive line stains are more nuanced than the depth chart indicates. Seumalo is probably the real substitute in the center with Big V in the left guard. Vaitai is the superior safeguard of left, right and right guards. Dillard is the first backup tackle on the left; he does not have experience yet at the good tackle.
  • The Hall List behind Sweat is one of the biggest "surprises" of this in-depth chart. I do not admit that this is a reality given how Hall dominated the summer and Sweat … did not do it.

  • Bradham and Brown are about to be the two best linebackers until Grugier-Hill becomes healthy again.

  • Interesting to see Darby and Maddox listed as the two best corners. Doug Pederson said Darby and Jones would be among the two best toners on Monday. Pederson, however, said the four corners of the list would play.
  • Sproles is obviously the main player who returns the furthest, but the coaching staff talked about using Jackson in special situations.
  • Something is obvious to you?
