You have probably accumulated applications on your phone over time, and you probably had a perfectly appropriate reason to install them at that time. How many of these applications do you really need, though? The Play Store knows this and starts asking users to abandon these useless apps.

Some users see a notification from the Play Store reminding them to get rid of unused apps. This is a bit reminiscent of the application manager that appeared in 2016. If you tap the notification, you end up in the Notification section of the Play Store. From there, you can tap again for a list of apps you have not used recently. For each application you select, the Play Store shows the amount of space you have saved.

The notification is far from universal, but it is the same as for the features of the Play Store. This feature may or may not be available to everyone, and you may never see it if you keep your phone turned on.
