Trail Blazers Center, Enes Kanter, is at the center of several interesting reports this week.
Specifically, the National Basketball Players Association expressed support for Kanter:
The statement of the NBPA seems to have been stimulated by two events. First, it was reported that some fans attending the second game of the Blazers and Nuggets playoff series may have made offensive and insensitive remarks to Kanter:
The crowd sings "Kanter is bad!" and one of them shouted: "Go back to Turkey, oh, wait, you can not!

"Go back to Turkey, Oh, wait, you can not." – An asshole sitting behind me.

Secondly, Kanter pointed out on Twitter that the Turkish NBA's Twitter account appeared to have deliberately omitted updates on the progress made by the post-season Blazers:
Subsequently, the NBA terminated its contract with the provider managing the account and pointed out in a statement that fans can watch the Blazers' matches on NBA League Pass International during their stay in Turkey.
