The Playstation 4 Emulator, Orbital, Supports DualShock 4 Controller and Advances in Safe Mode | DSOGaming

Alexandro Sanchez shared a new video for the first Playstation 4 emulator currently in development, Orbital. While the emulator is not about to play or run a PS4 game, it now supports the Sony DualShock 4 official controller and progresses further in the safe mode menus.

In case you do not know, Orbital is the first dedicated Playstaion 4 emulator for Windows and Linux. Advanced users can download an older version of Orbital from here. Note, however, that there are no binary files, which means that you must build each of the three components (BIOS, GRUB, QEMU) yourself. In addition, it will be difficult to configure the emulator for it to do anything because you will have to dump and decrypt the entire PS4 file system and the sflash, including the kernel.

Now, I know this video will not impress most of you, however, I find it really interesting. Do not forget that we have not yet seen a perfect PS3 emulator and that someone has already progressed on a PS4 emulator. It's huge.

Obviously, you should not expect to play a PS4 game, like God of War, Spiderman Marvel, Days Gone or Horizon: Zero Dawn, with this emulator as soon as possible. In all honesty, it could take up to five years (or more) until these games run on Orbital.

Nevertheless, I find it extremely cool to attend the first steps of this emulator PS4, so do not hesitate and take a look!
