The PlayStation 5 will cost $ 500 and will be released in November 2020, says analyst

Sony Interactive Entertainment has not specified when and by which means the PlayStation 5 will come out. But according to an analyst, the PS5 will be released in November 2020 and will cost $ 500. Specifically, Hideki Yasuda, an analyst at Ace Research Institute, who has carved a reputation over the years for his analysis of the video game industry in Japan, says that the next-generation PlayStation console will cost 100 $ more than the PS4, but like the current generation system, will be released in November.

According to Yasuda, Sony's new console focuses on fixing the flaws of the PS4, which seems to be based on the few details we know of the console. For example, it will support backward compatibility with the PS4, which in particular still does not support the same functionality with the PS3.

Interestingly, the analyst is currently predicting that the system will sell six million units by March 31, 2021, then 15 million units by March 31, 2022, which is not the fastest start to date, but he is decent.

Meanwhile, Yasuda does not believe that Google Stadia or any other cloud-based game represents a threat to the new Sony console, which seems to double in number of games and hardware, and not with respect to the future streaming.

Of course, all this is only speculation of Yasuda. Everything could be wrong. And it's also subject to change. However, Yasuda has built a name for his analysis of the industry, that is, his predictions and forecasts are certainly worth more than mine or yours.

That being said, Sony has not suggested the release date of the PS5, but it clarified that it would not be until April 2020. In the meantime, she has not disclosed her price, but she noted that it would be "attractive to the players". in light of its cutting-edge equipment, which for me sounds like $ 500. $ 600 is too expensive for the taste of many, while $ 400 is too cheap considering system specifications.
