The possible design of the new OnePlus 9 has been disclosed

This year has been rather atypical for OnePlus. The company has lost one of its co-founders, it has refrained from giving us a Pro version of the latest OnePlus 8T, and it has launched more economical devices than expected as part of its new Nord line. However, the company is already gearing up for 2021 and it looks like it may already have the design ready for its next device, the OnePlus 9.

New renderings of what appears to be the new OnePlus 9 have sprung up, and they’ve come down to us thanks to the guys at 91mobiles. The site is well known for posting images of @OnLeaks leaker, but it looks like it won’t, you might want to take this leak with a grain of salt.

Well, the image shows the most relevant design aspects of the new OnePlus 9. We can see that it could come with a flat screen with a punch-hole selfie camera. This screen is said to be larger than that of the OnePlus 8T. The rear panel would keep its curves, where we can also see a triple-lens camera setup.

The anonymous source of 91mobiles also mentioned that the new OnePlus 9 will also feature a refresh rate display of 120Hz, which is the same refresh rate as that of the OnePlus 8T. This new information could alleviate a previous rumor claiming that OnePlus may be ready to include 144Hz refresh rate displays in its 2021 devices. However, we also have to remember that we are talking about the classic OP 9 and not the OP 9 Pro version, so technically there may still be a chance.

The new OnePlus 9 is rumored to be launching in March to try and put some pressure on Samsung’s new Galaxy S21 or Galaxy S30 line, which is slated to launch in January.
