(We have a major spoiler for "Spider-Man: Far From Home" here, with all the details of the post-credit scene)
Obviously, yes, "Spider-Man: far from home" is a Spider-Man movie. But as he tells the story of Peter Parker (Tom Holland) trying to find his place in the world as heir to Tony Stark, he focuses almost as much on another player: Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson). Fury drags in the Marvel film universe from the very beginning. He is in a situation that seems as confusing as Peter's. How does the architect of Avengers manage this new world in which the core of his team are dead and gone?
Of course, there are still some key superficies (coughcoughScarletWitchcoughcough), but it seems that Fury did not face them as he did before. Thus, throughout "Far From Home", he and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) try to somehow tackle the apparent threat of Elementals and turn to Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Spider-Man to manage them .

Obviously, trusting Mysterio is not going so well, and it's interesting to note that Nick Fury would be fooled by a scammer like that. But the post-credit scene "Far From Home" sheds light on how such a thing could have happened: it was not really Nick Fury. Instead, it was Captain Marvel's Skrull Talos (Ben Mendolsohn), disguised as a Fury, with another Skrull disguised as Hill. And the real Fury was actually aboard a spaceship or station with a group of other Skrulls all the time.
This is a dramatic twist, and this could have great consequences for the entire Marvel Cinematic universe. Although we probably should not take any advance on this front.
What does it mean? Well, in the context of "Spider-Man: Far From Home", it certainly means we have not seen the real Nick Fury in this movie before the post-credit scene – it was probably all the Talos movie . You may remember from a scene earlier in the film where Fury was talking on the phone and mentioning something about Kree dormant cells – without further context, it seems that the subject is more concerned with Talos than it would be. for Fury, Kree and Skrull are at war against each other.

The big question is where is the real fury? The ship or station on which he hangs does not look like Captain Marvel's secret Mar-Vell lab, so it's almost impossible to guess where he is or what's going on there. There is a good chance though that it is in Earth orbit rather than in a remote corner of the universe – Earth should remain its main concern, after all.
But this is only a hypothesis, because in the overview, we come out of the window of the ship and we only see stars. Anything is possible and it is likely that this post-generic scene is preparing "Captain Marvel 2" or another upcoming film. As Marvel still has not announced its list of upcoming films for the MCU, it only remains to wait. If you really want to think about this, you can reasonably think that Talos may have been secretly Fury for a bunch of other MCU movies, the real Fury dragging in space for decades. But it's an idea hard to prove, since if Fury had a secret space station with a bunch of alien buddies on it, it would have been put in place sooner. Moreover, we all saw him die during the fall of Thanos and he did not regain the status of Skrull before dusting himself off. More likely, after Captain Marvel returned to Earth in "Avengers: Endgame", she brought some of her refugee refugee friends with the Skrulls.

It was strongly implied that Captain Marvel had not returned to Earth since 1995. This agreement with Fury is therefore recent. But everything is possible, I suppose. This scene has so little context to help analyze the big picture. And that's probably deliberately – I mean, they put this scene in a "Spider-Man" movie, which is a pretty surprising place to come back into the cosmic world.
But as this is the Marvel film universe, we will definitely get to the bottom of things. It may not be soon, because another "Captain Marvel" movie will probably be in at least two years.
