The president of the left-wing watchdog, Media Matters, faces a series of derogatory comments that resurfaced on Tuesday.
In a series of comments rewritten by the conservative newspaper The Daily Caller, Angelo Carusone seemed to make derogatory comments about Jews, "transvestites" and the Japanese.
In a 2005 blog post resurfaced by The Daily Caller, Carusone blamed a Bangladeshi who was stolen by "a gang of transvestites", seeming offended that the group was described as "attractive", according to catches. screen published by the point of sale.
That same year, Carusone also commented on a male basketball coach accused of sexually and physically abusing his players. Carusone rejected accusations against the coach in Japan using an ethnic insult.
Carusone also praised former Senator Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.), A former member of the Ku Klux Klan, for a post. He wrote separately that his boyfriend was adorable, "despite his jewels."
Media Matters did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The messages resurface just days after Carusone published offensive comments by Fox News host and Daily Caller founder Tucker Carlson.
Carlson said Sunday that he would not apologize for a series of derogatory remarks he's been holding on the "Bubba the Love Sponge" radio program between 2006 and 2011.
