We’re just over a month away from Samsung’s next big product launch, but there’s not much left to surprise. Today, an Amazon listing once again showed the Galaxy Watch 4 and confirmed the price in at least one market.
An Amazon search page that was spotted by WinFuture and is still live in Google Cache gives us the first reliable look at pricing and release details for the upcoming range of smartwatches. On the search page, four models are shown, including the 40mm and 44mm Galaxy Watch 4 as well as the 42mm and 46mm Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. Everything pictured is fully in line with previous Galaxy Watch 4 leaks, but the most interesting details come from the pricing and version information.
The most affordable model listed has a price of $ 309 CAD, which converts directly to around $ 250 USD. The Classic model, meanwhile, is priced higher at $ 463 in Canada, which could indicate a price of around $ 370 in the US for the 46mm Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. None of these prices would be out of place, but direct conversions never turn out to be completely accurate. WinFuture adds that the “cheapest” version of the watch will cost around € 300.
In particular, the lists explicitly Mention Google’s Wear OS by name, bringing that detail to the fore in the product listing title. Obviously, Samsung isn’t ashamed to move away from its own platform.
Additionally, we can see a release date. In Canada at least, it looks like the Galaxy Watch 4 series will launch and ship to customers on August 27, just over two weeks after the Unpacked event scheduled for August 11.
Incredibly too, the product listings themselves are still live on the Amazon site. The 46mm Galaxy Watch 4 Classic listing confirms a screen size of 1.36 inches with the rotating bezel. The same screen size applies to the 44mm watch. Meanwhile, the smaller 42mm and 40mm options will have a 1.19-inch screen. Some health specs on the Classic List and Galaxy Watch 4 Standard List mention the following:
