Political actor and commentator Jon stewart announced that its new Apple series, The problem with Jon Stewart, will be released in September. He did so with a mock three-minute documentary targeting billionaires on an unnecessary space race. The stars of the video Jason Alexander as Amazon Director Jeff Bezos, Adam pally as Tesla creator Elon Musk, and Mop and Stray Cat as Virgin CEO Richard Branson and Facebook mogul Mark Zuckerberg, respectively.
Tracy morgane also comes across as a “diverse friend who would never date Jeff Bezos in real life.”
Stewart dropped the teaser video on his Twitter account, which you can see below. Warning: the clip also features a whole bunch of penis shaped rockets.

Go boldly where we have been many times before
The teaser absolutely hooks the billionaires it spoofs and for good reason. It delivers some highlights on their US taxpayer-funded exploits and the outright redundancy of another space race. He also possesses the aforementioned computer-generated intergalactic genitalia. It’s silly while having something to say.
An important socio-political commentary explored through the ridiculous is Stewart’s wheelhouse. He hosted Comedy Central’s The daily show for sixteen years, providing viewers with international reporting in a way they had never seen before. The daily show mix of humor and newsletters in a way that makes even the most painful topics acceptable. For his work on The daily show, Stewart has won 22 Primetime Emmy Awards and 2 Grammy Awards. The show helped launch the career of Stephane Colbert, Samantha Bee, and Jean Olivier, who all served as correspondents before hosting their own shows.
Stewart could be brutally hard on his Daily show guests, some of whom were as prominent as former presidential candidates John mccain and Hillary Clinton. If the intense skewer in the teaser is any indication, future guests had better beware.
The problem with Jon Stewart is a one-hour newscast with a single issue explored in each episode. An accompanying podcast is being developed to “continue the discussion” alongside the TV episodes. The series won’t come out every night or every week, but when Stewart wants it.
The series is hosted and produced by Stewart through his Busboy Productions, which has an initial agreement with Apple. Former CBS Evening News producer Brinda Adhikari is defined as showrunner, with Chelsea Front (The opposition with Jordan Klepper) as editor-in-chief.
