Senator Amy Klobuchar, D-Minnesota, opposed the progressive plan to provide public health insurance to all Americans – and what has become a campaign mantra for Senator Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.
"While Bernie was writing the bill, I was reading it," Klobuchar told Sanders, saying the plan would cut millions of Americans out of their private health insurance. "And on page eight – on page eight of the bill, it says that we will no longer have private insurance as we know it."
"I do not think it's a bold idea, I think it's a bad idea," she continued.
The line was a response to Sanders' repeated line that he "wrote this bloody bill" that would go to Medicare-for-All.
