Amazon is still working on a robot that will roam around homes, according to Bloomberg.

According to the report, the prototype of the robot, dubbed "Vesta", has the meaning "size at the waist". It can be controlled by voice and can move alone with the help of built-in cameras.

Last April, a similar report revealed that Amazon wanted to create domestic robots that could allow access to the company's Amazon Alexa voice assistant, wherever you are. Bloomberg said the robot was not ready to be launched this year as originally planned.

An Amazon representative declined to comment.

Amazon continued to invest in robotics and introduced in June new warehouse robots, including Pegasus and Xanthus.

Amazon generally holds major product revelation events at its Seattle headquarters in September. Last year, Amazon introduced 15 new products compatible with Alexa, including a microwave. Bloomberg has announced that a new "Premium Echo Speaker" would be announced this year, which is consistent with what the company has done in the past.
