Recently, Sony organized one of its State of Play feeds that featured a new game for the PS4 and details on the upcoming expansion of the PS4. Monster Hunter: World. The latest feed also featured the highly anticipated trailer of Remake of Final Fantasy VII, which was announced for the first time in 2015.

Unfortunately, State of Play's latest release only covered upcoming games and did not provide more details on the PS4's recently announced successor. However, Sony has unveiled a new variant of the console that will only be available for a limited time and sport a new design.

The next edition of the PS4, Days of Play, will feature the iconic Triangle, Circle, X and Square symbols on the side of the console. The system will feature an industrial design with a steel gray finish and will include a DualShock controller of similar design to complete the package. The limited edition console will be the finest variant of the PS4 and will include an internal storage of 1TB. The price of the limited edition console was not announced during the live broadcast, but it should be around USD 300

Sony has not specified a release date for the new system, but it will be launched in June, alongside the next Days of Play event. This is not the first time Sony has released a limited edition Days of Play console. Last year, the company launched a bold design for the PS4 that featured an electric blue finish with iconic symbols painted in gold and placed over the console. Last year's redesign was released at the Days of Play event and cost $ 300.

Apart from the last trailer of FFVII, the live stream of State of Play has also released a new gameplay trailer for MediEvil remake, which also revealed its release date of October 25, 2019. To the uninitiated, MediEvil is a hacking title and action-adventure slash that was released in 1998 for the first PlayStation. Sony had previously revealed that the next remake would remain true to the original, that it would feature updated 4K graphics and that it would be released exclusively on PS4.
