Last week, the monarch, 95, kicked off the Commonwealth Games relay at her London residence ahead of the Birmingham 2022 event.
The royal donned a stylish orange coat with a matching hat with floral details for the event on the forecourt on Thursday.
She chose to wear Cartier’s sparkling pink brooch for the event, which was given to her by the Nizam of Hyderabad on the occasion of her marriage to the Duke of Edinburgh in 1947.
It was the Queen’s first major engagement at Buckingham Palace since Prince Philip’s death in April. She returned to her Berkshire home earlier this week after a summer at Balmoral.

Among the Queen’s many wedding gifts was a stunning tiara and Cartier necklace from the Nizam of Hyderabad, an Indian monarch and one of the richest jewelry collectors in the world.
The tiara, which cost £ 5,000 in 1947 (equivalent to £ 189,000 today), was set with 1,033 diamonds and featured three removable rose-shaped pins.
Oddly, despite his generosity, the Nizam was not invited to the wedding.
The Queen has worn her gift several times in 25 years, including on that visit to the Norwegian Embassy in 1951, but broke it in 1973 and asked the then-jeweler Garrard to make a new tiara.

The Queen is the patron of the Commonwealth Games Federation and was joined at the ceremony by the institution’s vice-patron, the Earl of Wessex.
Representatives from the Commonwealth Games Federation, grassroots sports organizations from the West Midlands and athletes participating in the Games were in attendance.
