It doesn’t matter if you are The Rock, little ones will own you in every way, every day

Every parent has their least favorite childhood phase – for some, it’s those sleep-deprived newborn days. For others, it is Sass mode: the engaged phase of older children. But one thing we can all agree on is that potty training, at all its stages, sucks. Amidst the constant defecation, however, there is a bit of humor. And The Rock perfectly demonstrates one of the lighter moments of toilet training in his latest Instagram post.

Her youngest daughter, Tia, announced that she had to pee and apparently didn’t want to do it in her diaper. Great sign, right? Hey, maybe she’s ready to start on her own! HA, THIS IS NOT WHAT WE ALL THINK.

“She refused to go to her diaper (I don’t blame her ๐Ÿ™‚ and asked if she could pee on the grass,” writes The Rock in her caption. “Of course, we’re on private property, so daddy takes her to wee on the grass.

This is where things change. A cute and hilarious ride.

“But then she decides to renegotiate (again, I don’t blame her;) and asks daddy to look for her because she doesn’t want to ‘stand on the lava monster’ so I have to hold her while ‘she is peeing … all over my new white sneakers ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’ฆ. “

LOL. Toddlers, man. They are the boss.

It’s also funny because most kids make up these imaginative โ€œmonstersโ€ or very creative and far-fetched fears. It’s just part of being a kid. Mine is terrified of the toilet flush and the tub drain. You never know when a toilet will overflow or if you’ll be sucked into the drain, you know? And no matter what we say to allay those fears, it falls on deaf ears. So we do what we do and make them happy and make them feel safe.

And sometimes you pee on your shoes in the process. Parenthood, are you okay?

Of course, some party poo (pee-ers?) Must have rushed in and tried to ruin it with some daddy’s shameful nonsense:

Most people were extremely supportive though, because that stuff is super relatable. Johnson is always here to share the very real hilarity of parenting with us. He regularly shares both funny and sweet moments when it comes to his three daughters, especially the younger two. On Christmas Day, he shared another photo that any parent of a Barbie loving child can relate to.

“After Christmas, ‘Daddy come play Barbie with me’, which actually means … Daddy holds this Barbie for 45 consecutive minutes while baby Tia does whatever she wants and completely ignores Barbie the whole time,” said writes Johnson.

YES. BINGO. You are not allowed to Actually play and spoil their atmosphere. But you make must be present. These are the rules.

The Rock is also exceptional in his daughter’s hairstyle – something every dad should be comfortable doing every day, tbh. Even if he himself doesn’t.

As for the backyard pee incident and a bit on the shoes, well, The Rock is out of phase. (Duh. That’s one of nine million reasons everyone loves it.)

“If I ever find this type of ‘lava monster’, I’ll whip his ass,” he concludes. “Damn, I’ll take this precious memory on my sneakers every day.”
