The Rocket League gets criticized after buying Epic Games

[ad_1]

Epic Games and Pysonix made a joint announcement several days ago confirming the head of the studio by Rocket League had been acquired by the creators more and more of Fortnite and the Epic Games store. As might be expected from past events, this acquisition did not please some people who did not like the idea that gambling is the property of someone else, let alone of his removal of Steam. Some of these people used Steam to drop some of the now-usual control bombs to express their disagreement.

Looking at the recent reviews of the game on Steam, you will see some differences from the overall scores that followed the announcement. Rocket League is considered "very positive" overall, and if your Steam settings are set to filter off-topic reviews, they will also be classified as such. Dig in these reviews and you will see that more than 3,000 negative reviews were added to the page on May 1st when Psyonix announced that it had been purchased by Epic Games.

Critics claim that the game will be dead now that it belongs to Epic Games and others who say that this purchase is a slap for active players on Steam and other platforms since the game's release. Some had more detailed explanations about their disagreements and said that while the move could be beneficial for Psyonix, they felt it would not be beneficial for longtime gamers who have become accustomed to playing Steam with all its features.

This is not the first time a game is criticized as part of Epic Games. At the start of the exclusive winnings while the Epic Games store was growing, Metro Exodus was hit by negative reviews after being shot from Steam. When Borderlands 3 was announced as an exclusive Epic Games Store on the PC platform, both Borderlands Year-End Game and Borderlands 2 were also bombed.
