The Russo brothers explain what it would take for them to make another Marvel movie after "Avengers: Endgame"

Anthony and Joe Russo, aka the Russo Brothers, who realized Avengers: End of the game, a film that beats many box office records, has just completed its own adventure in the Marvel film universe (MCU) alongside superheroes Steve Rogers or Captain America (Chris Evans), Natasha Romanoff of Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Tony Stark or Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) to name a few.

Like the actors who played the superheroes in the MCU for more than ten years, the directors spent a lot of time immersing themselves in everything, Marvel.

"We made four Marvel films in six and a half years and generated billions of dollars," said Russo told Esquire during a joint interview with his brother in April Avengers: End of the game hit the theaters. "This is a unique situation for filmmakers," he added.

The Russo brothers not only led Avengers: End of the game but they directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016), and Avengers: war in the infinite (2018).

Now that Marvel Studios has completed its Avengers film franchise – 22 films in total – the Russo brothers are looking forward to the next events. But will the future include the MCU? Check out what the duo director said about making another Marvel movie after the huge blockbuster Avengers: End of the game.

What would it take for the Russo brothers to make another Marvel movie

In a recent interview with SyFyWire about their next project after Avengers: End of the game (They make an R-rated movie called Mosul on an elite Iraqi police force), the Russo brothers revealed what it would take for them to make another Marvel movie.

Joe Russo said he and his brother were very fond of telling stories over many movies instead of telling a story in a movie when they directed four movies for Marvel Studios.

"I think that after the trip we did – because there is a full story, a global story of Winter Soldier [[[[Captain America: The Winter Soldier]until the end of End of Game [[[[Avengers: End of the game]which involves Tony and Cape, through Civil war [[[[Captain America: Civil War], by War of Infinity [[[[Avengers: war in the infinite]- I think the scale of ambition in storytelling is a problem that affects us a bit, "he said.

"And we are obliged to tell more stories of this magnitude, with this ambition of several years," he added.

So that means that if the Russo brothers fit in another Marvel movie, it will probably be another series of movies – maybe not as long as the Avengers franchise – but a franchise anyway.

Joe Russo also said that they could return to the MCU if they had the opportunity to lead their favorite superheroes growing up.

"I grew up [John] Byrne's X Men run. Ben Grimm was a favorite character in his childhood, The Thing. And Fantastic Four is now in the lap of Marvel. There are many, "he says before adding:" Silver Surfer is an incredible character. Going very big in the cosmic would be very fun. So, there are many things that could attract us. "

Here. The Russo brothers could well return to the MCU to make films if they 1) had a large "scale of ambition in storytelling" and 2) involved X-Men and / or Fantastic Four.
