Samsung introduced enhanced Dex features with the Galaxy Note 10 series, allowing users to access the phone's desktop environment via a laptop and a USB cable. Now, the required Windows and Mac applications have been put online (h / t: XDA developers), allowing users to see what all this fuss is about.

Another benefit of this Dex iteration is that you can quickly drag and drop files between a smartphone and a PC – you do not need to email or use cloud storage. Dex is also catching the attention of technical circles this week, as the Chicago Police Service has announced that it is testing this feature in its police cars.
