Samsung's mid-range Samsung Galaxy A range now offers a high-end option. It's called the Samsung Galaxy A70 and its 6.7-inch teardrop screen has a 20: 9 aspect ratio.
The screens of phones are getting bigger and bigger and the A70 aims to keep up with the trend while maintaining a comfortable fit by making this phone bigger instead of wider. More screen space on the A70 means that more things can fit on the screen without having to scroll down the screen. The Sony Xperia 1 and Xperia 10 phones use an even larger and thinner 21: 9 format, but Samsung is adopting a larger screen here.
The new A70 looks almost identical to the Galaxy A50 announced at the MWC in February. They both have a triple-lens camera system on their backs. They also use both Super AMOLED displays and their brilliant files are made from what Samsung calls "3D Glasstic". But thanks to the wider display format, the screen of the A70 reaches almost the bottom of the phone. Inside, it dominates the rest of the Samsung Series A phones starting with 6GB of RAM and a huge battery of 4,500 mAh.
The A70, as well as the A50, include a built-in fingerprint sensor, a feature that is also found in Samsung's Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus. This feature of Samsung's flagship phones did not perform well and overall, the on-screen sensor is slower and more accurate than the rear-mounted sensors. It is hard to imagine that the results obtained with a cheaper phone could be better, but we will leave our judgment until it is published.
Information on prices and release date have not been announced for the A70, but Samsung should provide more details during its awkward number entitled "A Galaxy Event" on April 10.
