For older baseball fans, "The Sandlot" is one of the biggest on-screen stories about the hobby of the United States. Settled in the 1950s, he follows a child's quest to meddle in the ragtag baseball group and try to save a precious, autographed Babe Ruth balloon.

A quarter of a century later, writer and director David Mickey Evans announced the creation of a television show following these same characters.

"I have already recovered all the members of the original cast. It's in 1984, at the age of 33 and they all have kids, "Evans said on The Rain Delay podcast.

Evans had already written and directed "The Sandlot 2", a sequel that follows a similar scenario with a different group of young people. The original cast member, James Earl Jones, has returned to his role as the mysterious owner of the Hercules dog.

Until this series arrives at its latest streaming service – Evans said "it would not take a genius to know" to whom he sold the idea – for anyone hoping for a solution "Where are they now?" "The Sandlot," last summer's documentary, titled "Legends Never Die: The Sandlot Story," describes the making and the legacy of the film, including interviews with actors.
