The Senate voted again Wednesday to end President Trump 's national emergency declaration on the southern border.

Eleven Republican senators joined the Democrats to vote for the end of the emergency declaration. In March, the Senate voted against the emergency declaration, but the president quickly vetoed the measure and asked the defense ministry to divert funds for a border wall. The House of Representatives has failed to override the veto.

The Democratic Senate Campaign Committee targets Republican elected officials who voted against the lifting of the emergency declaration that diverts funds from defense projects in their states.

The DSCC has released two new announcements against Arizona Senator Martha McSally and North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis, who are due to be re-elected in 2020. Department of Defense.
