Burnout Paradise was originally released by Criterion Games and Electronic Arts in 2008 on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Since then, players have had fun driving around the city, collapsing on everything which was in sight and causing all the damage in the world. However, it seems that these fun moments will soon come to an end for those who are still playing the original game, as it was recently revealed that the servers will be closed later this year. While this is surely unfortunate for those who remain true to the original title, fans should not worry, because the servers of the remastered version will continue to live.

Taking to Twitter, Criterion announced that the Burnout Paradise the servers will close on August 1st of this year. Of course, this only means that the online game will no longer be available. For those who continue to enjoy the game offline, there will be no change for you.

For those who wish to continue their journey online after August 1st, however, you will need to Burnout Paradise Remastered. Here's more about the updated version:

"Make action your middle name by governing the streets of Burnout Paradise remastered. Tear the city from the hectic downtown avenues to wild mountain roads. Relive the stunts and the never-ending destruction work of one of the greatest driving games in the arcade!

"Remastered Burnout Paradise provides the ultimate playground for you and your friends to play online. This remasterer includes all the additions to the Year of Paradise, including the update of Big Surf Island, recreated meticulously and ready to wreck in 4K.
