The sexy interior of the Taycan Porsche has been revealed • Gear Patrol

The launch date of the 100% electric Taycan Porsche is fast approaching. In the years leading up to the start, we saw the Taycan accelerate several times using launch control and perform hot laps on Formula E circuits. And now, in a press release detailing the links between the car and Apple Music, Porsche presented us the first official preview of the interior of the Taycan.

Porsche, presumably by design, did not reveal as well a lot before the official revelation. But we now know that the Taycan has a less cluttered version of the Concept E curved instrument cluster. The clock moves to a more traditional place on the dashboard, as in most Porsche with the package Sport Chrono. (In fact, some of the interior will probably look familiar to anyone who has been inside the new Porsche 911.)

It is unclear whether the passenger side has an additional infotainment screen because the photo cuts that side of the dashboard. What's happening is also hidden – a control touch screen, maybe? – on the center console.

Regarding the Apple contract, the Taycan will include a full integration of Apple music, which should facilitate control of this service compared to the use of Spotify via Apple Carplay. Porsche will also include a six-month subscription to Apple Music and three years of free wireless data to broadcast. Not a bad deal.

There is no doubt that Taycan's customers will make up for these technology-based savings by relying on Porsche's notoriously expensive option tree. But offering free Apple products is without a doubt better optics than BMW trying to convert otherwise free Apple services into a subscription plan.
