The Simpsons have once again succeeded: the show accurately predicts the future, this time against a big turning point in Game of Thrones Season 8. This time it's done with an episode of 2017 which was a pretty clear description of the hugely popular HBO show, which had a major development in its penultimate episode.

In episode 5, "The Bells," Daenerys Targaryen did exactly what Vary feared: she went mad, torching King's Landing with her latest dragon, Drogon. Despite the victory of the iron throne, she chose to destroy the city and kill her innocent civilians to the horror of Tyrion and Jon. It was a gesture that fans did not necessarily expect; There had been occasional teasing, but Dany was usually positioned as one of the heroines in the series.
In fact, you might have already seen something like this: the 2017 Simpson episode, "The Serfsons" of Season 29, also showed a dragon destroying a city with its spitting skills of fire. The episode was a kind of parody of Game of Thrones, and even included the voice of Jaime Lannister's actor, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau of Game of Thrones.
Some fans had predicted Dany's turn, and there was no doubt evidence showing this potential result in the series, but this remains a surprising turning point (and for some frustrating). Anyway, this is not the first time the Simpsons have accurately predicted something. An episode of Season 11 predicts that Donald Trump would become president, while an episode of Season 10 declared that Disney would buy Fox. These seemingly strange things ended up happening in real life.
