The slogan "Make Google do it" appeared last year to announce the wizard on billboards, brand activations and advertisements. It now comes from Android as part of the initial Wizard experience.
"Make Google do it" is probably a tribute to Nike's iconic slogan "Just do it". There are several variations of the phrase that reflect the many features of the wizard, including displaying, texting, reading, skipping, composing, reducing, preparing, and adjusting. It is also used on the Welcome page of the wizard which details the features and compatible devices.
This branding is now making its way to Google Assistant on Android. It appears from the first moments of the wizard after the initial setup and is designed to detail the features available in a familiar way. "Make Google" occupies the entire top line, and the specific example is highlighted in blue below.
For Google, it makes sense to use the slogan that has likely prompted users to get acquainted with wizard in the real world. The company replaces the current introductory prompt that only contains the greeting message: "Hello, I am your Google assistant. Tell me how can I help you? After a while, the user interface returns to the standard compact interface.
Assistant walks through various versions of the type "Try to Say", including "Tell me a joke" and the very popular "Set a timer for 2 minutes". The scope of this image "Make Google do it" has not been clearly defined. Android is.
