The Justice League Snyder Cut is getting a weird new promotion in the form of a DC hero-themed meal kit, available to fans for pre-order starting at $ 130.
The Justice League Snyder Cut got a weird new promotion in the form of a meal kit with themed dishes related to different DC characters. The long-awaited Director’s Cut will release on HBO Max on March 18, finally allowing fans to see Snyder’s unwavering vision for the DCEU’s superhero team. The new version of Snyder was originally planned as a four-part miniseries, but has since been made into a single extended film.
For years after Justice League released in theaters, fans cried for Snyder’s planned version of the film to be released. This loyal following has only grown more zealous since the Snyder Cut was confirmed to arrive at HBO Max, and the intervening months have seen all kinds of promotional material to increase the excitement even more. A new black-and-white trailer, posters paying homage to classic comics and more have flooded the internet as Synder Cut nears release.

The latest Snyder Cut link is a little less orthodox – a meal kit, which fans can order to ship to their homes, with special dishes connected to various Justice League characters. The “Mother Box” kit, currently available for pre-order from Wonderland, starts at a base cost of $ 130 for two or $ 260 for four. The box is available for delivery from Thursday, April 15 – almost a full month after Snyder Cut launched on HBO Max. Dishes include Ocean Trench – “Icelandic cod and fries with trench sauce” – and The Big Belly Burger – “An infamous DC Universe fast food burger, served with condiments.” The other dishes listed do not have a description, which encourages fans to “Follow us for the reveal!”
At best, the Wonderland Mother Box is an odd choice for a superhero promotion. The cost isn’t completely outrageous at $ 65 per person, but it is certainly expensive. Food ties for blockbuster movies and comic book adaptations are by no means new, but $ 130 is a far cry from the fast food toys and specials that have always been the norm.
It’s also strange that the Mother Box Meal Kit won’t be available until a month after Snyder Cut is released. The Wonderland page has the movie trailer built in, making it clear which movie the box is supposed to connect to. Warner Bros. surely hopes that Snyder Justice League will remain a popular topic for a few weeks after its release, but it still seems that an earlier launch of the meal kit would have made more sense. Either way, fans will be able to enjoy their own Justice League– inspired home-made dishes from April 15.
