Ariana Grande has some Starbucks baristas a little steamed about her collaboration with the coffee chain.

When the singer, who became vegan in 2013, announced Cloud Macchiato last week and advised fans to try the soy milk version, with some taking it as a sign that the drink could be vegan or dairy-free.

Not so much: it turns out that you can not make this sparkling cloud component without the egg whites. And the caramel variety has three types of dairy products: butter, heavy cream and milk powder.

In Starbucks' defense, when the drink was announced, they said from the outset that the foam was made from egg whites.

"To create the Macchiato Cloud, the Starbucks product development team has created a special recipe for Cloud Powder, from egg white, an essential ingredient added to Cold Foam to create a luxurious, luxurious texture." indicates the company. Press release.

It seems that a number of fans have not read the fine print. Even worse, the baristas were stranded to announce the bad news.

"You literally can not make it vegan." The key ingredient of the cloud powder is the egg white so it looks more like the meringue, Barista explained. @memerayo on Twitter.

"IF I AM ONE MORE / VEGAN / CUSTOMER COME TO STARBUCKS AND ASK FOR A CLOUD MACCHIATO REALIZED WITH SOY TO WAIT WHERE IT IS VEGAN IM COMING TO SCREAM", warned @gaysvodka.

@thalassophile She understood why fans were crazy writing. "Ariana says she's a vegan herself, that's the problem with her consumption and promotion of a non-vegan drink." Many people came to my store today thinking it was vegan. . "

And putting aside the vegan issue, they do not seem to like making Cloud Macchiato to begin with.

"The cloud macchiato at Starbucks is surprisingly very good but please, do not order it in my store, it's a choice to make (expletive)," @valk_az wrote in an NSFW tweet.

"Every 10 years will want the #CloudMacchiato because @ArianaGrande approved it then sends it back to the bar telling him that there is coffee in it" wrote @osinitsaa. "ALSO THIS BEVER IS ENHANCING TO DO AS IT IS!"

An addict from Cloud Macchiato seemed to be aware of the baristas' reaction to this.
