The stars of "MythBusters" remembered the animator and runner Jessi Combs as "go-getter" and "badass" following her death this week during a waterfall in Oregon.
"So sad to hear about Jessi. She was a tough guy. Always pushing the limits, " tweeted Kari Byron, the host of "MythBusters". "Sending smiles into the universe for her."
Former co-host of the Discovery Channel show Adam Savage wrote: "I am so sad that Jessi Combs was killed in an accident. She was a brilliant and too builder builder[sic]He was an engineer, a driver, a manufacturer and a scientific communicator, and on a daily basis strove to encourage others by his prodigious example. She was also a colleague and we are less numerous because of her absence. "
Combs, dubbed the "fastest woman on four wheels," was trying to beat her own ground speed record when her jet crashed. She was 39 years old.
MythBusters casting partner, Tory Belleci, also lamented the death of Combs on Instagram, sharing two photos of the pair.
"Absolutely disappointed to hear the news from @thejessicombs.You are a legend, Jessi and I will miss you, my friend," he writes.
Former "MythBuster" Grant Imahara added on Twitter, "I'm really sorry to hear about Jessi. She was a builder and a talented animator and, above all, an enterprising person. "
