State Attorney General Mike Hunter has denied several claims in the context of prosecutions against opioid manufacturers.
Hunter said that he had abandoned the claims without prejudice to the need to refocus the case on his central claim against the manufacturers.
The state will now focus on the public nuisance complaint brought about by the decades-long corporate marketing campaigns.
According to a press release, the public nuisance complaint will provide the state with a comprehensive plan to cure and remedy the effects of the opioid crisis, throughout the state.
The case is still set for May 28th.
