CFA Executive Director Mike Manley provided additional insight into the development of the mid-size trucks that succeeded Dodge Ram Dakota. Manley acknowledged that the absence of an intermediate Ram truck is obvious and that the team is focused on finding a solution.

Manley said, "I want the problem solved frankly because it's a hole in our wallet." He added, "He will not be filled with a gladiator, because this one has a very, very different. But believe me, they are focused on it. "

It looks like FCA is looking for a cost-effective installation, chassis and production process to make the next Ram pickup affordable, capable and competitive with Toyota Tacoma, Chevy Colorado, Ford Ranger and more.

The CEO also pointed out that the new Jeep Gladiator did not meet the same customer needs as a new Ram intermediate truck. The Gladiator 4 × 4 is a premium offer with a higher price and an off-road lifestyle.

We still do not know when and if the next intermediate truck Ram will come on the market. This can be in 2022 or earlier, but the company still has not communicated more accurate plans.
