It looks like FCA is looking for a cost-effective installation, chassis and production process to make the next Ram pickup affordable, capable and competitive with Toyota Tacoma, Chevy Colorado, Ford Ranger and more.

The CEO also pointed out that the new Jeep Gladiator did not meet the same customer needs as a new Ram intermediate truck. The Gladiator 4 × 4 is a premium offer with a higher price and an off-road lifestyle.

We still do not know when and if the next intermediate truck Ram will come on the market. This can be in 2022 or earlier, but the company still has not communicated more accurate plans.
