The SUV accident in Texas kills 6 alleged illegal immigrants; other wounded, according to information

According to reports, six suspected illegal immigrants were killed and five others seriously injured Wednesday night when their SUV crashed into an irrigation ditch during a Texas police chase.

Police began chasing down the utility vehicle, which would pass for more than a dozen immigrants from Central America and Mexico, after the driver fled to a traffic stop at about 20 km west of Corpus Christi, according to Reuters.

The police canceled the lawsuit, but did not realize that the SUV crashed before drivers reported that people were wandering on the road.

"Shortly after the day, we were able to locate the vehicle," Nueces County Sheriff J.C. Hooper told reporters. "They found six people dead, five seriously injured and evidence that more people left."
