The Switch port of Final Fantasy VII contains a revolutionary bug that was reported in the PC version almost a year ago.

Nintendo fans have waited ridiculously long for Final Fantasy VII to materialize, and this dream has finally come true with the Switch. Unfortunately, there seems to be a bug that can stop your progress, no matter how you try to work around it. Even worse, this is a bug that was discovered by the public in the PC version almost a year ago.

The bug occurs about 3 hours after the start of the game when you are instructed to climb the set on Wall Market to Shinra HQ. For some reason, there is something that causes a problem with one of the triggers of the game. After a few chores, you are supposed to follow a child who leads you to a series of caves. If this bug strikes you, the kid never shows up and there is no entrance pipe. At this point, the only option you have is to completely delete your backup and start over.

One would think that this question would have been resolved for the Switch version, especially if it was recorded by PC version players almost a year ago. Let's hope that Square-Enix will soon be able to solve the problem of players.
