‘The Talk’ announces Natalie Morales to join as permanent co-host

Natalie Morales is joining “The Talk” full-time after her public release from NBC News after a 22-year career with the Peacock Network.

“We couldn’t be happier to have Natalie Morales join the ‘The Talk’ family,” executive producers Heather Gray and Kristin Matthews said, according to Deadline. “We have been fans of her and her work for years. Her varied skills and versatility are a great addition to our talented panel. Natalie’s intelligence, passion and enthusiasm always shines through in all of her work, and we are fortunate to have him on the team.

“In addition to her role as an exceptional broadcaster, we believe her perspective as a wife and mother will create a special bond with our audience,” the statement continued.

Morales called the new post an “extraordinary opportunity” and said she liked the “new energy and new direction” of the series, which has asked about its cast since Sharon Osbourne left the series in March. and was replaced by Jerry O’Connell – a move that appears to be successful so far.

“I look forward to many good times talking about the topics of the day, and can’t wait to get started,” Morales added of the decision to join “The Talk” on a permanent basis.

Morales will debut on the Emmy-winning daytime show on October 11, and while she sees herself as the show’s new face, Morales isn’t the only newbie on the list.

Akbar Gbajabiamila joined the panel last month following the departure of Carrie Ann Inaba and Elaine Welteroth from the series in August. Welteroth had only been on the panel for less than a year.

“The Talk” returned in Season 12 on September 13.

A representative for “The Talk” did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
