CBS show “The Talk” is reportedly extending her hiatus for the second time as she continues to lean into Sharon Osbourne’s on-screen tiff with her co-host.
The network put the show on hiatus last week after things heated up between the co-hosts when Osbourne defended his friend Piers Morgan after questioning the legitimacy of Meghan Markle’s claims in her interview with Oprah Winfrey .
According to People, the show was scheduled to return this week, but the network has decided to extend the hiatus again until at least next week, as it continues to focus on Osbourne’s controversial defense against Morgan.
Representatives for “The Talk” did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
During the March 10 episode, Ozzy Osbourne’s wife explained that while she disagreed with Morgan’s opinion, she supported him.

Co-host Sheryl Underwood responded, “As you stand by your friend’s side, it seems like you are giving validation or a safe haven to something he said that is racist.”
“He doesn’t want to understand how Meghan was treated as racism and then says … ‘I don’t see him as racist – I don’t believe what she’s going through’ – it’s that right, that white privilege it makes him racist on himself, ”Underwood continued. “So if you say ‘I’m with you,’ how do you address people who say you oppose racism? I’m not saying you are.”
Morgan quit his job at UK ITV the week before, after receiving an intense backlash for saying on air that he did not believe Markle was having suicidal thoughts.
Osbourne then asked, “So if I love Piers and he’s seen as a racist, I’m a racist? Is that what you’re saying?”

After the episode aired, Osbourne apologized on Twitter for his comments and to “anyone of color I have offended and / or anyone who feels confused or disappointed by what I have said”.
She said she was “panicked, felt blind [and] became defensive. “
“There are very few things that hurt my heart more than racism, so feeling associated with it made me spin fast! I’m not perfect, I’m still learning like we are and will continue to learn , listen and do better, “Osbourne’s statement continued.

Speaking in an interview with Entertainment Tonight about the situation, Osbourne noted that she is not sure if she will be welcome to “The Talk” when he finally returns after this long hiatus.
“I wish we could go on and have a calm adult conversation and make it happen, but I’m not sure if we can,” Osbourne explained. “I don’t know if it got past that. I’d love to but I don’t know if I even want to go back. … I don’t know if I’m wanted there.”
