The team pays tribute to Daley Mathison, "Shining Star"

27-year-old died in the opening race of the TT Superbike

MADMAX Race Team paid tribute to its runner Daley Mathison, who died in the first TT Superbike race.

In a statement, he said the 27-year-old was a "bright star".

The incident occurred between Braddan Bridge and Union Mills, in the third round of the race.

MADMAX rider and CEO Zef Eisenberg said Daley was "one of the friendliest, friendly and positive runners you've ever met."

And their "thoughts go to his dear wife Natalie, to her family, to her daughter and to those who loved her."
