The Tennessee University Marching Band wears t-shirts designed by a victim of intimidation

The band, known as The Pride of the Southland, wore the shirt under its traditional Saturday uniform during the Volunteers' 45-0 win over the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga.

A Florida fan caught the eye of the world earlier this month after being teased for pinning a U.T. logo on an orange shirt for college colors day of his elementary school. In a Facebook message that went viral, his teacher wrote that the boy was devastated.

She thanked the volunteers Friday and said that the experience had been a great lesson for her students.

"We had a lot of discussions about kindness and I'm really excited to see my students intensifying their acts of kindness," she wrote.

The university adopted the boy's t-shirt as the official reason and said it received more than 50,000 pre-orders. All proceeds from the sale will go to the charity Stomp Out Bullying.
Tennessee also awarded the boy a 4-year scholarship last week and offered him an honorary admission in the 2032 promotion.
