The Tesla app, used by many owners as the vehicle's key, was shut down for hours Monday night.
Several Tesla drivers took Twitter to complain that the application was down and asked him about the timing of its restoration.
A woman from Pleasanton told NBC Bay Area that she had to go home with Uber because of Tesla's failure.
The owners of Tesla are also assigned a card that can be used as a key, but several indicated that they were relying on the application to get in the vehicle and drive it, and therefore did not keep the card on .
Downdetector.com reported that the outage began around 4:30 pm and lasted about four hours.
Tesla did not immediately respond to requests for confirmation of the outage.
@You're here What is the state of the network? I'm stuck in front of a compressor, plugged. Trying to go home with a dead key, was using the app to run the car. Now the system is stopped for 3 hours. Help me!
