The trailer of Final Fantasy XIV stars Tom Holland and Hannibal Buress … And my spirit is boiling

New

Today, Square Enix has released a new trailer for Shadowbringers, an extension of Final Fantasy XIV, with a rather exceptional cast.

We see Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: star Tom Holland trains hard to become the dark warrior while Hannibal Buress (who played coach Wilson in Homecoming) for the first time tackles his obvious Chuunibyou, then help to come to term with his role as player

You can watch the trailer below.

The title may seem exaggerated, but I really miss my trailer. With 16 million registered accounts and the largest number of subscribers ever registered before a major expansion, we knew that Final Fantasy XIV was a big deal for Square Enix. Still, the fact that you just hire such popular stars just before Spider-Man's indoor release: Far From Home … still surprises me.

It is hard to believe that just a few years ago, Final Fantasy XIV was considered a ship in distress that had absolutely no chance to redeem itself. Yet those who decided to stay with the game were finally right.

If you'd like to know more about Final Fantasy XIV and its forthcoming expansion Shadowbringers, you can check out the details and footage from the latest release of Letter of the Producer Live, information on new races, revelations from Tokyo's FanFest , including the Dancer and the Hrothgar Race, an official batch of screenshots and insights into the creation of the new Crystarium City.

Just a few weeks ago, producer and director Naoki Yoshida himself also explained why there would be neither Viera nor Hrothgar, nor why the extension would not involve healing. An official reference has been published to allow you to test your equipment and check new races.

If you want to get ready before the release of the extension, Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood is currently available on PS4 and PC. Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers will be officially launched on July 2nd on PS4 and PC.
