the Academy of Umbrellas call forecasts for the new cast of season 2.

Netflix announced Tuesday a trio of new faces embarked on his comic adaptation: Yusuf Gatewood (The originals, good omens), Marin Ireland (Fatherland, Sneaky Pete) and Ritu Arya (humans).

They join members of the cast, Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher and Justin H. Min, who are about to resume their roles in Season 1.

Based on the comics series created and written by Gerard Way, illustrated by Gabriel Bá and published by Dark Horse Comics, The Umbrellas Academy tells the story of seven children who were adopted by a billionaire and then prepared to save the world. During Season 1, the six surviving members of the Academy met at the news of their father's death and worked together to solve the mystery of his death. But the separated family begins to separate because of their differing personalities and abilities, not to mention the looming threat of a global apocalypse.

Gatewood was chosen to embody Raymond, a born leader with the intelligence, gravity and confidence to never prove it to anyone. He is described as warm, dedicated and has the innate ability to disarm you with a look. Husband, he's the kind of guy everyone wants to know.

Ireland will play Sissy, a fearless and pragmatic Texan mom who is married young for all the wrong reasons. Always in its heyday, she is eager to rediscover what life and love have to offer.

Finally, Arya will assume the role of Lila, a "chameleon" who can be as brilliant or as clinically crazy as the situation demands. Unpredictable, mischievous and sarcastic, she is endowed with a sense of twisted humor.
